How much will my stone benchtop cost?

The cost can vary considerably for your benchtop depending on the size, product, colour, seen edges and the finish required.

A plan is required showing all benchtop details, site location, installation information and number of persons available on site to assist with lifting in the stone. 

Natural Granite slab prices vary greatly so too do the slab sizes and availability.

Quartzstone slab sizes are more uniform but slab prices can also vary as much as the Natural Granite do.

From all details received a quote can then be generated giving you an indication of cost.

Care and Maintenance

Granite and quality Quartzstone care and maintenance is a relatively easy process.

The general rule of thumb is to wipe the bench top down with a clean sponge or soft cloth with clean soapy water after each use.

Then wipe the surface dry with a clean soft cloth to avoid any streaking.

With each installation of a bench top our installers will provide a care kit with an everyday cleaner and care and maintenance instructions.

 

How long does it take to manufacture my benchtop?

Once a template has been taken, our lead time is approximately 10 working days until benchtop installation.

 

Can I put hot pots onto my benchtop?

We always recommend that hot pots and pans never be placed directly on the stone surface but onto a heat trivet or wooden chopping board avoiding damage by sudden and rapid temperature changes.

Where do I need a join?

Many benchtops will require a join at some point due to slab size, internal corners and location of sinks and hobs.

Joins allow for unforeseen movement due to earthquakes or settling of buildings and cabinetry allowing the join to break rather than the stone itself, however these can be easily reglued.

Joins are approximately 2mm wide and filled with a colour epoxy making them unobtrusive.
